Medoverine is a musculotropic antispasmodic agent without atropic, prescribed for irritable bowel syndrome, and GI tract spasm. It works by relaxing the intestinal muscles causing the problem.
Medoverine contraindication
Contraindicated in patients with paralytic ileus.
Medoverine dosage
Adult: PO- Irritable bowel syndrome; GI tract spasm As HCl: 100 or 135 mg 3 times/day. Extended release 200 mg twice daily. As embonate: 150 mg 3 times/day.
Medoverine usage
It comes as a capsule to take by mouth, with food.
Medoverine precautions
